Why We Chose to Build Sixth Millennium with VC Lab

Building the Right Foundation
Launching a venture capital firm requires far more than identifying promising startups.
It requires building an institutional investment platform with a disciplined investment process, robust governance, portfolio construction methodology, LP reporting standards and operational excellence.
Before launching Sixth Millennium Venture Partners, our team had already invested in multiple Israeli technology companies, backing founders who went on to build category-leading businesses, including Karma, Bablic—later acquired by Unbabel (now part of TransPerfect)—and Novacy, acquired by Israeli unicorn Lusha.
However, we believed that investment experience alone was not enough.
Our ambition was to build an institutional-quality venture capital firm designed for long-term value creation.
That conviction led us to VC Lab, the global accelerator for emerging venture fund managers created by Decile Group.
Why VC Lab
VC Lab has become one of the world's leading platforms for building institutional venture capital firms.
Founded by Adeo Ressi and Mike Suprovici, the program was created to professionalize venture capital by providing emerging managers with the infrastructure, discipline and operating framework traditionally available only to established firms.
Today, the VC Lab ecosystem includes more than 900 venture funds across over 90 countries, making it one of the largest global communities of emerging managers.
The program focuses on every aspect of building a venture capital firm, including investment thesis development, portfolio construction, LP fundraising, governance, legal infrastructure and institutional reporting.
For us, this was exactly the environment we wanted to build within.
A Global Benchmark
VC Lab brings together experienced investors, institutional limited partners and emerging managers from around the world.
The objective is simple: build venture firms capable of enduring for decades rather than funds designed around a single investment cycle.
Participating in the program allowed us to benchmark our strategy, challenge our assumptions and refine every aspect of Sixth Millennium's operating model.
The result is a venture platform built not only on privileged access to exceptional Israeli founders, but also on institutional processes designed to serve our investors over the long term.
Recognition
Our journey culminated with the successful completion of VC Lab Cohort 19.
During the program, Sixth Millennium Venture Partners was also recognized among the cohort's top-performing managers and invited to present at the Global Closing Ceremony, where we shared our investment thesis:
"Why the Convergence of Israeli Founder DNA and Artificial Intelligence Represents a Generational Window for Value Creation."
For us, the recognition was never the objective.
It simply reinforced our conviction that combining Israel's unique entrepreneurial ecosystem with a disciplined institutional investment approach creates a differentiated opportunity for long-term value creation.
Looking Ahead
Artificial intelligence is reshaping every sector of the global economy.
We believe the next generation of category-defining companies will increasingly emerge from focused ecosystems combining exceptional technical talent, global ambition and deep technological expertise.
Israel continues to produce founders with exactly those characteristics.
Our mission is to identify those entrepreneurs early, support them throughout their journey and provide our investors with disciplined exposure to one of the world's most dynamic innovation ecosystems.
